God’s creation (Psalm 19:1-6)
- We are to stop and observe God’s creation.
- The earth shows signs of intelligent design.
- The universe was set up specifically to support the existence of man.
- Colossians 1:16?- The reason that Earth was created for man.
God’s word (Psalm 19:7-11)
- Psalm 119:98?- We can become wise by following God’s word.
- God’s laws may seem limiting to us, but they always lead to a better life.
Our obligation (Psalm 19:12-14)
- Verse 14 would be an excellent prayer to say every morning.

Proverbs 1:20-33
Wisdom shouts in the street. (v. 20-21)
- Proverbs 4:7 – get wisdom!
- Proverbs 2:6 – wisdom comes from God
- Proverbs 3:5 – don’t trust your own ways, but look to God.
- I Corinthians 1:18-25 – Christ was brought forth through the wisdom of God.
- Galatians 1:6-8 – God’s wisdom was once for all given to man.
- II Peter 1:3 – God gives us all things that pertain to life and godliness
The fool ignores her (Proverbs 1:22-26,31)
- Calamity comes on the one who ignores her.
- Proverbs 1:8; 3:1,11; 4:2,5 – warnings against ignoring wisdom
- Many want something besides what God gives us and so ignore Him.
- Many ignore God out of selfishness.
The wise man listens (Proverbs 1:32-33)
- Proverbs 1:1-5 – a wise man continues to learn.
- How do we learn?
  - We read the Bible.
  - We exercise humility.
    - Jeremiah 36:4,21-25 – Jehoiakim’s response
    - II Chronicles 34:14-27 – Josiah’s response
  - We trust in God.
    - Hebrews 11:17-19 – Abraham’s trust in God
    - Let go of your own wisdom and listen to God’s wisdom.
  - We go with the facts.
    - Acts 9:1-6 – Saul got new information and went with the facts.
    - Matthew 7:24-27 – be like the wise man that built his house on the rock.
