Here’s a nice little video from CNet showing how to set up email signing and encryption. Remember, if you don’t encrypt your email, every computer the mail gets routed through on the way to its destination can read the message. Also, if you do not cryptographically sign your email, people can easily forge email that appears to be from you.

Intention scanning at airports

Fox News has a very interesting article up about a new scanner system the Department of Homeland Security is testing. The scanner analyzes non-verbal cues from your body that show you might be up to no good. This sounds way over the top to me. Do you think this is a good idea? This reminds me of the famous quote from Benjamin Franklin: “Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”
