- Romans 10:17; II Corinthians 5:7; II Corinthians 4:14 - We must understand the difference between opinion, knowledge, and faith.
- Hebrews 11:8ff - The faith of Abraham
- God asked him to leave his comfortable surroundings and move. Abraham did so without even knowing where to go.
- God gave him the three promises that he never got to see, yet he believed that they would be fulfilled.
- Hebrews 6:6-10 - Some get weary waiting for God’s promises. Don’t let your faith dwindle but have patience to the end.
- Genesis 22:1ff - God asked Abraham to offer his son.
- We may not be asked to do this but will be faced with trials in our life. We’ll know what God expects but it will be hard and take a lot of intelligent (Hebrews 11:17-19), moral, and emotional strength.
- You have to be willing to do whatever God asks you to do or believe.
- Hebrews 11:13-16 - Abraham was a spiritually minded man.
