Proverbs 18:15, ?The mind of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.?

  1. Don?t all roads lead to Heaven?
    1. No (Galatians 5:19-21, I Corinthians 6:9, Ephesians 5:5).
    2. But don?t all religious roads lead to Heaven?? No (Matthew 15:1, 7-9, 23:13-15, Acts 26:9).
    3. Many religions were condemned (Acts 17:22-30, Acts 19, I Cor. 1:12-13, Galatians 1:6-7).
    4. All religions are not equal.? All do not get us into Heaven.
    5. Some churches were wrong and were told to repent (Revelation 2-3).
    6. We are forced into the conclusion that not all roads lead to Heaven.
  2. Which religion is right?
    1. We must follow Jesus? Word to know the truth (John 8:31-32).? We must read the Bible!
    2. So which religion is right?? Ephesians 4:5 says there is only ?one faith.?
    3. The one true religion recognizes the sole authority of the Bible.
      1. Inspired men wrote the Bible (I Corinthians 2:13, 14:37-38).
      2. No need for creeds; God gave us everything we need in the Bible ?once for all? (Jude 3).
      3. Paul warned about people who would offer something different (Galatians 1:8-9).
      4. The one true religion will use the Bible as the only standard for measuring truth.
    4. The one true religion recognizes only one true church.
      1. Jesus said, ?I will build My church??singular (Matthew 16:18).
      2. When people tried to divide Christ?s church Paul condemned it (I Corinthians 1:12-13).
      3. ?There is one body? (Ephesians 4:4, body = church, Ephesians 1:22-23).
      4. Why are there different churches today all claiming to be followers of Christ?
      5. Jesus demanded that people listen to His word (John 8:31).
      6. Jesus is only the Savior of that one body (Ephesians 5:23).
      7. We need to find the religion that believes what the Bible says about the singularity of the church, and we need to be a member of that church.
    5. The one true religion condemns sin and demands righteousness.
      1. Sin is wrong, we should stop (I John 3:4, 8); Righteousness is good, do it! (3:18, 23-24).
      2. The one true religion is not just talk and show, but deed (James 1:25, Romans 2:21-22).
      3. It will not cater to political correctness or social fads.
  3. What really happens at the Judgment?
    1. A great division, based on deeds, resulting in eternal life or punishment (Matthew 25:31-46).
    2. Our secrets will be exposed (I Corinthians 4:5, Hebrews 4:13).
    3. Judgment will follow the standard of God?s Word (John 12:48, Romans 2:16).
    4. So what will we do?
      1. We can try to hide from reality.
      2. We can face the facts and do our best to prepare.
