- Luke 18:1; Ephesians 6:18; Colossians 4:2; Romans 12:12; II Thessalonians 5:17 – pray without ceasing
- II Samuel 9:7 – this passage gives us an idea of what “pray without ceasing” means
- Jesus prayed:
- At the beginning of his ministry. Luke 3:21
- At the start of the day. Mark 1:35
- At meal time. Matthew 14:19
- At the close of day. Matthew 14:23
- When making big decisions. Luke 6:12-13
- When He was transfigured. Matthew 17:1-2; Luke 9:28-29
- At Gethsemane. Mark 14:32-36
- As He was dying. Luke 23:34,46
- How can we know He answers prayers?
- One five letter word answers this question: FAITH
- John 9:31; I Peter 3:21; I John 3:22; I John 5:14-15
- How does He answer prayer?
- We can’t understand how, but we know that He does.
- He answers prayers by the laws He has put in place.
- In spiritual things
- In material things
- Like Jesus, we should pray:
- At the beginning of the day.
- At meal time.
- At the close of day.
- When making big decisions.
- During trials (at our Gethsemane).
- At our death.
